My name is Anastasia Klyzhenko. I was born in Kharkiv. I’ve been living in this incredible city for all of my life. I’ve been drawing for all of my life and have been a professional Artist for the last 3 years. I am inspired by Ukrainian artists Julia Mokhova and Inna Kharchuk. I also have a part-time job - a tattoo artist. My paintings have been sold all over the world: America, Switzerland, Croatia, Cyprus, London and Germany.

One day my life has changed. It’s impossible to describe what I feel every day, what pain and what fear. I feel the pain for every person, for every military, civilian, kitten or dog whose house was also taken away. A lot of pain. Every single day. Kharkiv is a front-line city, and I often sleep with my documents under my pillow, hearing the howl of bombs almost every day, but it’s not the sound that's scary anymore, there are only the thoughts that life can being cut short. This is a difficult topic to talk about, but our life has gone to hell. I want to express my deep gratitude to those who are helping Ukraine, whether through donations or by creating an art. I believe that art can also help to spread awareness about our culture and the talented people who live here.

Recently, I donated blood and received a message saying "you saved a life, come back again." This message inspired me, reminding me that everyone can help in their own way, even in these hard times. I’m working and painting to be able to donate to our army, to save my country, to have a possibility to living freely and peacefully in our home
