On his retirement in 2000, Anthony Fagin enrolled for a ceramics degree course at the Falmouth School of Art (now University). Although he didn’t complete the course, he took up full-time practice and exhibited and sold widely. Fascinated by the challenge of hand-building spherical shapes, he explored the possibilities afforded by creating spheres of different sizes, configurations, and surface treatments. This particular piece is unglazed and therefore not intended to be exposed to the elements.
