Patrick is a specialist performing arts photographer working with dance and theatre clients large and small for the last thirty years. “In The Wings” was taken earlier in his career whilst working backstage for English National Ballet. Although the image date isn’t exact, the image was captured on film so predates Patrick’s change to digital and therefore is about the year 2000. Dancers are always in the wings watching other dancers perform partly out of their generous support for fellow dancers and also as a way of learning the part they are watching in order to be able to dance that part themselves later.
